From Munich

Direct trains from Munich’s main station to Bolzano run five times daily. The journey takes less than four hours, and services depart Munich at 7:34 a.m., 9:34 a.m., 11:33 a.m., 1:34 p.m. and 3:34 p.m. Munich is a central hub, connecting major German cities like Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Stuttgart and Cologne. A simple change in Munich puts South Tyrol within easy reach.

From Vienna

Direct trains depart daily from Vienna’s main station at 3:01 p.m., arriving in Bolzano just over seven hours later.

From Zurich

Travelling from Zurich to Bolzano takes just under seven hours, with an easy change in Innsbruck.

FlixBus offers daily services to South Tyrol from various European cities:

• From Munic: FlixBus offers 13 daily services to Bolzano. The first bus departs at 2:40 a.m., while the last leaves at 11:15 p.m., with an average travel time of 3 hours and 40 minutes.
• From Innsbruck: Buses run frequently between Innsbruck and Bolzano, offering a quick and pleasant journey of approximately 2 hours.
• From Zurich: FlixBus operates various routes from Zurich to Bolzano, with an average travel time of 4 hours and 30 minutes, depending on the connection.
• From Milan: FlixBus departs from several locations in Milan, including Milano Centrale train station and Milano Malpensa Airport. The quickest routes will get you to Bolzano in just under 4 hours.
